On Saturday 11th November, a cohort of students travelled down Banbury Road to Wychwood School to participate in their International Peace Education Conference. As well as pupils from St. Clare’s, there were those from Didcot Girls’ School, Cherwell College and schools from Peru who had come to the United Kingdom for the event.

Students debated ways in which they could solve issues related to Target 4.7 of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, such as migration and climate change. Keynotes from reputable academics in their fields, gave students the opportunity to learn and develop their knowledge, empowering them to take action at local, national and international levels. The day was truly delightful and was a beacon of hope for the future in an ever politically tumultuous world.
