How to apply

We have students of over 40 different nationalities and each application is assessed on the basis of the applicant’s previous academic results, an English and Maths placement test and an interview in which we discuss their choice of subjects, motivation and aspiration. We also have a Scholarship Programme for both local and international students.

1. Contact our Admissions Team

Send an email or call our Admissions Team if you would like to discuss your application or if you have any questions. The contact details are given below. Alternatively, complete the enquiry form below and a member of our Admissions Team will be in touch with you shortly afterwards.

2. Send us your Reports

The second step in the Admission process is to send your school reports / academic transcripts for the past two years. Upon receipt, our Admissions Team will thoroughly review the school reports to determine if St Clare’s is a good fit (Optional: We also accept SSAT scores if you are applying from the USA).

3. Submit the Application Form

The next step is to submit an application form and pay the £100 registration fee. The Admissions team will send you a link to the on-line application form. This form must be completed before continuing with the admission process.

4. Sit the Placement Tests

You need to complete our English and Maths placement tests. These placement tests are used to give us an indication of your current level of Maths ad English and the results may influence your subject choices in the IB Diploma course. The Admission Team will send you login details and instructions for taking the placement tests.

5. Come for a visit and interview

All applicants are required to take an interview with the Vice Principal or another senior member of College staff. All applicants are invited to visit the College to have a tour and to take the interview in person. The tour will include visiting classes, residential accommodation and other facilities and you will have the chance to meet and chat to current students. If you are not able to visit the College in person, you can watch a video tour of the College and you can take your interview via zoom. If all goes well, we will offer you a place immediately after your interview.
